Job Summary

Duke’s Discount Grocery is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bulk Repack Specialist to join our team. This position focuses on repackaging bulk food items into smaller retail-ready portions while maintaining strict cleanliness, food safety, and freezer protocols. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and takes pride in keeping a clean and compliant workspace.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Repack bulk products into smaller quantities (e.g., dividing a 20 lb box of chicken breasts into four 5 lb bags or breaking down a 300-count case of egg rolls into 12-count packages)

• Properly weigh, portion, label, and reseal products to meet store standards

• Follow strict freezer and cold-storage protocols to ensure food safety and product quality

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area at all times

• Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and surfaces after each task and at the end of shifts

• Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly

• Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines

• Communicate with supervisors regarding inventory needs, product issues, or equipment concerns

• Assist with additional prep, stocking, or cleaning tasks as needed
